DESCRIPTION:Trumpeter Josh Deutsch and guitarist Nico Soffiato have been playing together as a duo since 2006\, when they met in Boston. Over the years\, the musical relationship born through this collaboration resulted in a set of music composed specifically for this ensemble\, including several co-written works.\nJosh and Nico have created a book of original music borrowing from some of their favorite classical\, jazz and pop ideals. The music ranges from electronic loops to entirely acoustic pieces\, balancing carefully crafted compositions with space for exciting improvisations and interaction.\nTheir third album Redshift came out in 2020\, on the label nusica.org and presents an augmented version of the duo project with the addition of two great drummers of the New York scene: Allison Miller and Dan Weiss. They perform regularly in the New York City area and have toured the West Coast and Italy. For this new trio configuration\, they feature different drummers: Allison Miller and Dan Weiss\, Bram Kincheloe\, Deric Dickens\, D’Vonne Lewis\, Scott Bishop\, and Ken Mastrogiovanni. A versatile player\, Nico finds himself playing in various jazz and experimental groups such as his duo with Grammy-winning trumpet player Josh Deutsch\,\nParadigm Refrain with Anti Label recording artist Marco Buccelli\, and Dogwood. As a member of the New York music scene for over a decade\, Nico has been part of the collective Out Of your Head Brooklyn\, whose members included Gerald Cleaver\, Michael Attias\, Tony Malaby\, Kirk Knuffke\, and\nmany others. He also plays in Innocent When You Dream\, Aaron Schragge’s ensemble that reimagines the music of Tom Waits.\nHe had played nationally and internationally\, presenting his music at renowned festivals like Dave Douglas’s FONT Festival\, Sile Jazz Festival\, Padova Jazz Festival and more.\nNico is also music for media composer and producer. He’s a staff composer for the international music house Overcoast and has worked on movies and commercials. \nBram Kincheloe is a professional musician\, writer\, and small business owner. He attended Laguardia School of Performing Arts for one year before being accepted into Manhattan School of Music. Through the years playing jazz\, he has been honored to play with Lee Konitz\, Branford Marsalis\, Ambrose\nAkinmusire\, Wynton Marsalis\, Ben Street\, Steve Cardenas and many others. In 2008\, he helped form the soul-rock band Sister Sparrow &amp; the Dirty Birds with two of his cousins. The band subsequently landed a much sought-after residency at Rockwood Music Hall\, building a large\, devoted following. In 2011\, they signed with New Frontier Touring\, and began playing upwards of 175 shows a year\, across the USA\, Canada\, and beyond. Bram played many of the largest festivals in the world\, including Bonnaroo\, Voodoo Fest\, Cotai Jazz and Blues Festival (Macau\, China) and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. They\nalso opened for such acts as The Avett Brothers\, Dr. John\, and The Black Keys. What might be described as guitar driven Americana jazz. \nMark Dziuba has been a guitarist\, improviser and composer for most of his life. He has performed with a who’s who of Jazz\, Blues\, Rock and Bluegrass musicians and has performed and taught at workshops and festivals internationally for over 40 years.\nMark is a tenured professor of music at the State University of New York at New Paltz where he directs the Jazz Studies program. He was a part of the internationally acclaimed National Guitar Workshop for 25 years and has been a part of the Crown of the Continent International Guitar Festival since its birth.\nMark is a published author and a featured soloist and composer on numerous recordings. He continues to explore the world of improvised live and virtual music and can be found performing often in the area and abroad. His long standing and ongoing gig as bassist for the legendary\, Chita Rivera has taken him around the world playing for audiences who just can’t get enough of Broadway royalty. \nDonica completed a Jazz Studies degree and received the coveted Performance Certificate from the Jacobs School of Music at IU\, Bloomington in 1995. While there\, he played in the 20th Century Be Bop Band for Jazz Legend\, David Baker. Afterwards\, Donica set out for New York where he continued his professional pursuit of Jazz and improvisation creating his own groups and collaborations such as\, Urban Survival that produced two recordings and toured nationally as well as the Jim Donica Group (Apria Records)\, featuring\, Peter Erskine\, Randy Brecker\, Bruce Barth\, Frank Kimbrough\, and Tim Armacost and the group\, Quantum Mechanics. \n  \nDrummer Bob Meyer has performed on Joe Lovano’s Blue Note release and group\, Viva Caruso. Also\, his Symbiosis\, Sinatra and More\, trios and quartets. Currently leading The Bob Meyer Project\, with Steven Frieder\, Luke Franco and Peter Brendler.
